Sapin de Noël des Créateurs 2008
Du 10 au 15 décembre à la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine de Paris, se tient l’exposition des Sapins de Noël des Créateurs vendus aux enchères au profit de l’Association Solidarité Enfant Sida.
101.000 euros ont été récoltés (dont 3.500 euros pour notre objet).
De grands noms de la mode, du design et de l'architecture y participent.
L'objet M+FG en quelques mots
Objet ludique et pédagogique, la télévision est traitée ici comme un objet nomade, fixée dans un flying case, elle interpelle le téléspectateur. On y retrouve un sujet cher à Marithé et François Girbaud "NO MORE SEASONS". Une façon très conceptuelle de montrer l’inconscience de celui qui prépare les fêtes de Noël, centré sur son confort personnel sans se soucier de la terre qui s’écroule autour de lui, des migrations de plus en plus nombreuses qui en découlent et du danger que représente le réchauffement de la planète.
The exhibition “Sapins de Noël des Créateurs” is taking place at "La Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine" in Paris from December the 10th to the 15th . The christmas trees are sold in auction , the profits will be donated to the Association Solidarite Enfant Sida . Near 100,000 Euros have being collected (3,500 from our piece).
M+FG Piece in a few words
Playful and pedagogic, the television set is treated as a nomadic object, stacked into a flying case, it creates an interaction with the spectator. The piece is made entirely of recycled materials. We thus find a beloved subject to Marithe and Francois Girbaud “ NO MORE SEASONS”. A very conceptual way to show the lack of conscience of the individual who, getting ready to celebrate the Holiday Season, centered on his own comfort, takes no notice of the Earth falling apart around him, nor to the migratory fluxes, and neither to the danger that climate change represents for our future.
