Au XVIIe siècle, le jean est peint sur la toile, au XXIe siècle la toile est gravée sur le jean.
A la galerie Canesso à Paris, se tient depuis jeudi, l'exposition "le maître de la toile de jean". Une rencontre évidente entre deux maîtres: Un peintre italien anonyme du XVIIe siècle, qui introduit le jean dans ses tableaux et Marithé+François Girbaud qui grave une oeuvre sur une veste en Denim. Formidable occasion de mettre en avant le procédé technique WATTWASH (TM) qui utilise le laser sur le jean dans un souci environnemental.
