L’exposition traite d’un matériel qui nous est familier : le tricot. Elle retrace les décennies importantes en montrant sa popularité, non seulement dans les défilés mais aussi en dehors des podiums.
Parmi les cinq tenues constituant la section française de l’exposition figure une silhouette de Marithé+François Girbaud. Il s’agit d’une robe du thème LES POMPADOURS en couleur liane-amande de la ligne Maillaparty de l’hiver 1988/89
