Etre à Medellin fut une opportunité de se rendre compte quels efforts fait la ville pour réduire la violence dans l’éducation et la circulation dans la ville.
Ecoles, librairies et aménagements de qualité ont été construits pour améliorer la vie des gens dans les favelas.
Un escalator a même remplacé les 400 marches que devaient monter et descendre les habitants, tous les jours, pour aller travailler. François Girbaud a eu la chance de rencontrer Margarita Angel, chargée du programme éducatif, et Anibal Gaviria, le maire de medellin. L’accès à l’information et à l’éducation et une meilleure circulation ont vraiment changé la ville.
François Girbaud est fier de partager tout cela avec vous et espère que cela aidera à changer le regard que porte le monde sur cette ville.
Being in Medellin was an opportunity to relate the amazing works start by the city of Medellin to reduce violence by education and circulation. Schools, libraries and quality infrastructures are built to change local people's life in favelas. An escalator is replacing the 400 steps inhabitants had to climb everyday to go to work. Margarita Angel is in charge of the whole EDU program besides the Mayor of Medellin Anibal Gaviria. François Girbaud had the chance to meet with them both. Access to information, circulation and education are changing the city. Francois is pleased to share this with all of you and hope this will change the way the world is watching this city.
