It is no longer necessary to cut and stitch different fabrics together to create patterned or patchwork garments, the latest Straight Stretch fabrics have been developed in multi-weave combinations that recall the codes of “Boro” (the Japanese tradition of mending and patching), but with a distinctly urban flavour. Variations in weave patterns are used to highlight the layered construction of the garment and to challenge our visual perception of the lines and proportions created with the dungaree-bib cut of this unlined work jacket.

A new layered “post-it" pocket architecture, created for an urban environment, utilizes the unique properties of the fabric’s vertical stretch, eliminating the need for bellow-pockets. Part of a new innovative range of combinable separates, pants can be attached to the jacket through a system of buttons and buttonholes to create a modern “tuta” or “overalls”. Concealed within the layered “bib” front section, multi-purpose pockets and sections of the multi-weave appear or disappear, depending on how the pants are worn with the jacket.

Straight Stretch® indigo multiweave, woven with vertical stretch, provides new comfort for movement.
